The Gifford Building, built in 1975, was named after Elizabeth Dyar Gifford, a dean of the department of home economics for 25 years. This building is located on the south side of campus next to the Visual Arts Building, and serves as home to the Department of Human Development and Family Studies. This facility contains offices, classrooms, and labs that are utilized by several academic departments.
