The Morgan Library was originally constructed in 1965 and named for Colorado State University's former president William E. Morgan. This facility recently went through an extensive improvement project, which included an addition to the main building and a renovation of the existing structure. The new, improved library building was completed in the fall of 1998. In addition to housing a collection in excess of 2 million items, including books, journals and government documents, Morgan Library boasts hundreds of public terminals as well as many wireless laptops available for checkout for searching a comprehensive array of electronic resources and accessing the World Wide Web.
