The J.V.K. Wagar Building was constructed in 1939 and originally served as the Veterinary Medicine Building. This structure, which stands on the southwest corner of the Oval, continues to operate as a facility for veterinary research and is home to the Department of Fishery and Wildlife Biology as well as the Colorado Cooperative Wildlife Research Unit.
